Grandview's Year-End Review: Notable Projects in 2024

December 31, 2024

As 2024 comes to a close, we at Grand View Exterior Systems are proud to reflect on some of the year’s standout roofing projects. Whether addressing the needs of churches, schools, or industrial facilities, our commitment to exceptional craftsmanship and tailored solutions has been a hallmark of every job. Here’s a look back at some of the notable projects that defined our year.

Authentic Church

The Authentic Church faced a leaking roof with two layers of Modified Bitumen, compounded by limited funds for a replacement. Initially, we were called in to assess possible repairs. During our thorough inspection, we identified hail damage and successfully helped the church secure insurance coverage for a full roof replacement. This project not only restored the church’s roof but also provided peace of mind, allowing them to focus on worship and community services. The transformation has protected their space from the top down, ensuring their operations can continue without disruption.

Wayne Dalton Manufacturing Facility

Proactive planning led Wayne Dalton to address its aging roof before serious issues arose. This project involved a layover with a partial tear-off to remove saturated insulation and install a new EPDM roofing system with an improved taper for better drainage. By taking a budget-conscious and phased approach, Wayne Dalton has positioned itself for continued success with a roof designed to last. The new system ensures reliability and aligns with the company’s strategic maintenance goals.

Ridge Corp

When wind damage occurred at Ridge Corp, their surveillance cameras captured the event. While seeking bids for a replacement, we identified additional structural issues and guided them through the insurance process, ultimately providing a full roof replacement with a TPO Rhinobond system. The new roofing solution enhanced the facility’s durability and storm resistance, addressing immediate needs while preventing future complications. Ridge Corp benefited from a seamless process and a roof built to withstand the elements.

Valley Christian Academy

The unique challenges of Valley Christian Academy’s Tectum decking required a contractor with specialized expertise. Leaks, including a persistent flashing issue unresolved by previous contractors, were impacting the school’s operations. We conducted a meticulous analysis, providing detailed core samples and customized proposals. This culminated in the installation of a gray PVC roof, chosen for its aesthetic appeal from ground level. By addressing the most critical areas within the school’s budget, we ensured long-lasting protection for students and staff. Client feedback praised our dedication, communication, and ability to deliver a tailored, phased solution.

Canton Baptist Temple

The Canton Baptist Temple needed a major overhaul after decades of wear and improper installation had left their roof beyond repair. We removed approximately 84,000 pounds of material and installed a lightweight roofing system that significantly reduced stress on the structure. This efficient approach allowed the Temple to focus on long-term maintenance planning by phasing roof replacements over time. The result is a safer, more durable environment for their congregation and community.

Furbay Electric

Chronic leaks at Furbay Electric’s warehouse were exacerbated by insufficient drainage systems. Our team installed a new PVC roof while addressing the drainage issue with additional downspouts and PVC piping. This comprehensive solution not only resolved the leaks but also improved the building’s water management, safeguarding valuable inventory. By offering expertise in both roofing and drainage, we ensured that Furbay Electric could operate more efficiently and without concern for weather-related disruptions.

Miles Rubber

Miles Rubber’s roof was in good condition overall but showed early signs of edge and wall deterioration. To extend the roof’s life and prevent future issues, we applied a spray-on coating system and reinforced the parapet walls with recovery board and PVC. This proactive solution saved the client significant costs by delaying the need for a full roof replacement while providing a manufacturer-backed system for added peace of mind. Miles Rubber now enjoys a secure and cost-effective solution that protects their facility for years to come.
